Well, first of all, I guess I should explain the title of the site.
Koi ni ochiru is Romaji for "to fall in love with." I originally wanted the title to say "hopeless romantics" in Japanese, but I couldn't find anyone who knew Japanese well enough to assist me with that... so oh well. :)
Anyway, since I was a little girl, I've always been a firm believer in true love. When I watched Robotech for the first time, I wanted Rick and Lisa to be together
so much... and when I saw Evangelion, I wanted Shinji and Asuka together, as well as Naru and Keitaro in Love Hina. And when the ones I wanted to be together couldn't... it just like, tore me up inside. o.@; Haha, I laugh -- because I know I'm not alone! D:
And it doesn't just apply to anime either -- I wanted Maverick and Charlie together (in Top Gun), and I also cried my eyes out over the love between Rafe and Evelyn (in Pearl Harbor). I'm such a sucker for two people truly in love, and I believe that, no matter what happens, love will pull through.
According to the Bible... Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
I finally decided that there should be a ring for all those hopeless romantics out there, like myself... for the people who believe in destiny and true love and believe that two people should be together in the end, even if the odds are against them. This can apply to when you're watching anime or a TV show or even to your own life... you just have to believe that true love exists and that it should be a top priority.
