ShinjiteNET (now turned into azureanstudio.com) is my collective domain, which houses a variety of things — ranging from anime, Final Fantasy, and whoever my celeb crush happens to be at that time, ahahahha. It's been around since Oct 2002, and it's my baby...! :]

version #: Twenty-one — Jun '08-??
time spent: Approximately 2 hours
image source: Lin Zhi Ling (林志玲)
comments: You know, if I had to look at the previous version just one more day, I probably would've thrown up. I dunno, when I first created it, I thought it wasn't bad looking... but yeah, creating this new layout made me realize just how much my style keeps evolving. Anyhow, tried to keep the theme summery and happy... think I was successful at it, too! :D

version #: Twenty — Aug '07-Jun '08
time spent: Approximately 2-3 hours
image source: Lin Zhi Ling (林志玲)
comments: After a while, (like usual), I needed something a little less simple. I didn't get sick of the layout (strangely enough), but I just wanted something different. Anyway, version 20 has a collage of Lin Zhi Ling images, along with a large palette of colors (since the last one was so monochrome). It looks somewhat like the designs I've made in the past, but it's not a big deal, right? :)

version #: Nineteen — Jun '07-Aug '07
time spent: Approximately 1½ hours
image source: Lin Zhi Ling (林志玲)
comments: A refreshing change from the previous layout, I think version 19 fully embraces the concept of simplicity. I obsessed over making the coding 100% XHTML transitional, too, so the main time-consuming task was just recoding. I like the soft, subtle colors of the layout -- the biggest edit job was the photo of Lin Zhi Ling, though. Layout centered in the middle.

version #: Eighteen — Dec '06-Jun '07
time spent: Approximately 1hr45mins
image source: Ashe, Vaan, Basch, Larsa & Penelo from FFXII
comments: Overall, I think this is a nice looking layout because it goes back to the roots of my design style. I decided to blend various images together and go for a colorful, yet subtle design. I used a film effect for the pictures at the bottom, (which I think blends in very well), and I used scanlines plus checkerboxes-- all patterns and effects were self-made. Horizontally large (again).

version #: Seventeen — Nov '06-Dec '06
time spent: Approximately 2 hours
comments: Hmm, I think this layout is all right, but I'm not crazy about it. :] I'm not sure what it is about simple layouts, but I get tired of them very quickly, and I had a feeling this layout would be one of those omg must replace this quickly! type deals. :) It's horizontally very large, but I'm pleased with it overall. (Plus, I love Miki -- she's just too cool.)

version #: Sixteen — Oct '06-Nov '06
time spent: Approximately 2½ hours
image source: Negi, Asuna & Setsuna from Negima
comments: Absolutely love the artwork that I used for this version (Ken Akamatsu -- what do you expect?). This version was very pastel (back to my old designing roots), with no brushes or filters -- also my first time coding with css/divs only. :] I like the layout because it's simple and sweet... and also colorful, yet monochrome, if that makes any sense. o_o

version #: Fifteen — Aug '06-Oct '06
time spent: Approximately 2-3 hours
image source: Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach
comments: First time ever using Bleach characters for any layout I've ever made; I'm pleasantly pleased with the outcome of this version. I used absolutely no brushes or filters... just my brain! I tried to go for a fresh, light design, with a cool, cute feel to it. Also used a ton of colors to keep it lively. :D Small table layout (first one in a year!), aligned to the left.

version #: Fourteen — Jul '06-Aug '06
time spent: Approximately 2-3 hours
comments: I stuck with dark, rich colors for this version, using screenshots from a video of hers. I blended a bunch of images together, along with self-made patterns and scanlines. I used the gaussian blur effect quite a bit in this version (especially in the 'main' image to make Otsuka jump out more). I do like version 14 quite a bit; stretches across and is centered in the middle.

version #: Thirteen — Jun '06-Jul '06
time spent: Approximately 6-7 hours
image source: Ashe and Vaan from Final Fantasy XII
comments: Wow, this layout was frustrating as hell... and while it's very different from anything I've made before, I don't think it's all that bad. I merged together images of Vaan and Ashe, did some overlay sexiness, with a bunch of crap added everywhere else. :P This layout (accidentally named v14) is light, airy, and tiny — centered in the middle and stretches across.

version #: Twelve — Apr '06-Jun '06
time spent: Approximately 3 hours
image source: Son Ye Jin (손예진)
comments: One of the rare 'dark' layouts — though I don't know if this would qualify as dark. Anyhow, I was going for a cute, sexy look for this version, which I think I did a decent job of achieving. There was a lot of outer-glow going on, with random ideas from my head pouring out into Photoshop. This layout is centered in the middle of the screen with super tiny text.

version #: Eleven — Apr '06-Apr '06
time spent: Approximately 2-3 hours
image source: Naru and Shinobu from Love Hina
comments: I didn't like this layout for some reason; it just didn't sit perfectly with me. Makes me cringe... anyway, used brushes in the layout (which is very rare for me to do). Used a white stroke on the main image (which I do quite often) and duplicated a larger version in the background, blahblah. This layout is aligned to the right and stretches all the way across the screen.

version #: Ten — Feb '06-Apr '06
time spent: Approximately 2 hours
image source: Jake Gyllenhaal (my main squeeze)
comments: I was going for simplicity in this version, which is probably why I didn't work on it for more than two hours. (When I work more on a layout, all these little details start appearing everywhere, haah.) I used a mosaic pixel effect for the background and tried to stick with just blue and orange colors. This layout is centered in the middle and is, well, big!

version #: Nine — Aug '05-Feb '06
time spent: Approximately 5 hours
comments: Ah, still a favorite layout of mine, though very old. It's actually a recycled layout for Transcendence, a ring I was planning on making. I changed my mind, left it on my HD for ages, and re-used it when I was too lazy to make a new one, haha. It has an FLCL image with tons of techy stuff going on in the background. Aligned on the bottom left, stretches all the way across the screen.

version #: Eight — Jul '04-Aug '05
time spent: Approximately 4-5 hours
image source: Nicole Kidman (beauty personified)
comments: Any time I use a beautiful actress, it makes the layout look good all by itself, haha. This was actually a table layout, which I don't do often for my sites with light content. I desaturated all of her, sans her lips and eyes. Then I just tried to make it look somewhat techy and grainy... not a favorite, but I don't mind it. Centered in the middle and extends to the bottom.

version #: Seven — Apr '04-Jul '04
time spent: Approximately 2-3 hours
image source: Choi Jin Shil (최진실)
comments: Because I was sick of my busy layouts, I decided to go for something ridiculously simple. Funnily enough, it took me a long time to get that design because I kept on wanting to add more to it... :] I'm not great at simple layouts, as I think it's made apparently clear in version 07. This layout is centered in the middle... just a cute box design.

version #: Six — Oct '03-Apr '04
time spent: Possibly 5-6 hours (??)
image source: Embla Von Prios from War of Genesis III
comments: This is still a favorite of mine (and Embla's pretty, so it helps). Very busy layout, but I think it was put together pretty well. I used scanlines, blurring, fat fonts, and many other things. The navigation also turns into a little 'x' mark with the name of the section you're looking at. Centered in the middle and stretches all the way across the screen.

version #: Five — Mar '03-Oct '03
time spent: Approximately 4-5 hours
image source: Lilka from Wild Arms 2
comments: I don't say this often, so you can't call me conceited, but I love this layout. I really do. Not only am I in love with that particular image, but I love the way everything flows together. My only gripe is that the text is small, but nothing else looked right... and I didn't wanna ruin the prettiness. Very techy and dreamy looking! :] Aligned to the left and stretches all the way across.

version #: Four — Jan '03-Mar '03
time spent: Possibly 4-5 hours (??)
comments: I really don't like this layout at all, though I think I liked it back when I first designed it. It was designed for larger resolutions in mind (which I don't do often), and it was also a more colorful layout (which was rare back then, since I was into monochrome). Decent but nothing special... this was a frames/table layout, aligned to the left-top of the screen.

version #: Three — Dec '02-Jan '03
time spent: Possibly 2-3 hours (??)
image source: Choi Jin Shil (최진실)
comments: This layout blows... ahhh! Whatever, I wanted a clean, airy design, and I did manage that. :P I used mosaic pixel effects and a lot of blurring effects... I think I was just wanting something different from previous layouts. This is a table layout, aligned to the right of the screen, extending down to the bottom. Oh, and did I mention I hate this layout?

version #: Two — Dec '02-Dec '02
time spent: Possibly 2 hours (??)
image source: Pochacco from Sanrio Surprises
comments: What a strange layout... I was feeling Christmasy, I guess, and this was the product. Luckily, it didn't stay up very long, hahaha. This version used scanlines, Christmas lyrics, my trademark "cross design," and a plethora of other crap. :] The only reason this layout isn't going into the Hall of Crap is because it has Pochacco on it... he's too cute! :) Centered in the middle.

version #: One — Oct '02-Dec '02
time spent: Possibly 3-4 hours (??)
image source: Character unknown, from Kare Kano
comments: Ah, ShinjiteNET's debut layout! There's something about this layout that I don't like, but I don't entirely hate it either. I'm pretty sure I was going for an autumn theme (note the leaves), so it's got a nice, warm feel to it. This version used a sketchy style with gridlines and lots of colors. ^^ Aligned to the left, centered in the middle, stretching all the way across.
