Aishiteru is my shrine to Naru Narusegawa of Love Hina. It's been around since 2001, and I intend on keeping it around forever. I poured my heart into this site, so maaaany hours of myself went into it (especially my screenshot gallery). Aishiteru has received awards and plenty of accolades, so I do love it... :) Visit it, if you're into Love Hina at all! ^^

status: Active since 2001
viewable: [@] narusegawa.net

version #: Eighteen — Jul '06-??
time spent: Approximately 2-3 hours
image source: Naru, Mutsumi & Keitaro from Love Hina
comments: Again, not a layout that I'm too fond of, but it gets the job done. My main goal with version 18 was really the revamping of the content. I had been very unhappy with it for a while because it'd been written when I was 19, so that was my main focus; the layout was really more of a side effect. :] Very tiny table layout, centered in the middle.

version #: Seventeen — Mar '06-Jul '06
time spent: Approximately 4-5 hours
image source: Naru and Keitaro from Love Hina
comments: Hmm, not bad... but I think I like version 16 better. Anyhow, this was one of my first designs after taking an unannounced web hiatus of a few years, so it was mainly me trying to get back into the groove of it all. It has a cute look to it (mainly cuz of Tama-chan, sipping his alcoholic beverage), so I'm satisfied with it, I suppose. This is a table layout, centered in the middle.

version #: Sixteen — Feb '04-Mar '06
time spent: Approximately 5 hours
image source: The entire Hinatasou gang from Love Hina
comments: This is one of my favorite layouts for Aishiteru because it complements the entire theme of the anime series so well. For anyone who's seen Love Hina, you'll know it's a goofy, lighthearted anime, so I was pleased with this. The navigation links also had a drop down menu when you clicked on each word. This is a table layout, centered in the middle.

version #: Fifteen — never debuted
time spent: Possibly 3-4 hours (??)
image source: Naru, Shinobu, and Keitaro from Love Hina
comments: Version 15 never even made it off my HD, though I didn't exactly dislike it. It features my favorite image of Naru, so maybe I'm biased? Anyhow, I changed her shirt from yellow to blue and used a gaussian blur on the background characters. I like how the navigation and sidebar look, too... but for some reason, the layout just isn't perfect. Table layout, aligned to the right.

version #: Fourteen — Dec '02-Feb '04
time spent: Possibly 3-4 hours (??)
image source: Naru and Keitaro from Love Hina
comments: One of those layouts I don't mind but don't particularly like either. I'm proud of the editing job I did on the image, though, (since I've always been able to edit the crap out of some awful images). Anyway, I don't really remember what I did to the layout, but I think I tried to combine cute with sorta techy. This is a table layout, aligned to the right.

version #: Thirteen — Aug '02-Dec '02
time spent: Possibly 3-4 hours (??)
image source: Naru and Shinobu from Love Hina
comments: I still like this layout because everything flows together really well. Plus, that image of Naru and Shinobu can't be found anywhere because I merged them together myself, bwahah. I used a lot of splatter effects on this version, along with a nice dose of pink and purple, hehe. I'd change a few things here and there, but I like it overall. Table layout, aligned to the left.

version #: Twelve — Jul '02-Aug '02
time spent: Possibly 3-4 hours (??)
image source: Naru and Shinobu from Love Hina
comments: I adore the main image for this layout, but I don't love the content area. If there's one thing I could've fixed, it'd be that... it just doesn't fit with the rest of the layout. I do like everything else, though, including the banner image, etc... and the colors are great, too. :] Very dreamy looking...! This is a table layout, aligned to the right.

version #: Eleven — May '02-Jul '02
time spent: Possibly 2-3 hours (??)
image source: Various characters from Love Hina
comments: I don't know if I like or dislike this layout because there are certain things I really like and really dislike... well, you win some, you lose some, right? This was also the layout that was up when it was showcased at Animefringe Online, (which was a huge honor). Techy, monochrome table layout, aligned in the middle of the screen.

version #: Ten — Apr '02-May '02
time spent: Possibly 2-3 hours (??)
image source: Naru, Keitaro, and Tama-chan from Love Hina
comments: While this layout wasn't a favorite (due to the overall design), I like it all right because of the image. I wasn't able to find that image anywhere besides in the fan-made wallpaper that was submitted to me by a visitor, and that's why it was so special to have it in my layout. Haha, the banners usually look decent, but the rest is always lacking! Table layout aligned to the left.

version #: Nine — Apr '02-Apr '02
time spent: Possibly 2 hours (??)
image source: Naru and Shinobu from Love Hina
comments: Probably one of the worst layouts Aishiteru received! I used an image that I had scanned from my artbook and added in a screenshot from the spring special in the background... while I like the way the images blended together, I hate the rest of the (dull) layout. The navigation (images on mouseover) was pretty cool, though. :] Aligned to the right, centered in the middle.

version #: Eight — Mar '02-Apr '02
time spent: Approximately 8-9 hours
image source: Naru Narusegawa from Love Hina
comments: Geez, I can't figure out for the life of me why this layout only stayed up for a month, (especially to be replaced by the crap that is version 09). I love this layout because the navigation is great (monochrome turns color on mouseover), and the editing job was pretty damn amazing. (I could never do something like that now...) Table layout, aligned to the left.

version #: Seven — Mar '02-Mar '02
time spent: Possibly 3 hours (??)
image source: Naru and Haruka from Love Hina
comments: This was the second table layout for Aishiteru, so I was just getting used to making 'table designs'... if that makes sense. Anyhow, the image was edited heavily (and looked much better afterwards), though the layout wasn't really that great. The navigation was neat — when you put your mouse over the links, it'd pop up a description in the box. Table layout, aligned to the left.

version #: Six — Feb '02-Mar '02
time spent: Possibly 6-7 hours (??)
image source: Naru and Keitaro from Love Hina
comments: This layout annoys the hell out of me because of the lack of functionality (the div layers), but I love the design itself. I somehow managed to give it a soft, yet metallic look... *shrug* I dunno, I like it! (The editing job was a pain, too!) Navigation was pretty cool... when you put your mouse over the Japanese text, it turned to the English equivalent. Layout centered in the middle.

version #: Five — Jan '02-Feb '02
time spent: Possibly 2-3 hours (??)
image source: Naru, Keitaro, and Shinobu from Love Hina
comments: I really dislike version 5 because there's way too much pink and not enough going on design-wise. I wish I had added more and changed tons of things (now that I look at it), but it was okay, I guess. I think I was going for a cute, girly, pink design, hahaah. (Oh, the annoying div layers, too... blah!) Layout aligned in the bottom-left, stretching all the way across the screen.

version #: Four — Nov '01-Jan '02
time spent: Possibly 2-3 hours (??)
image source: Naru and Keitaro from Love Hina
comments: I hate this layout! When I look at it, I want to cry... seriously. It is so bad, and for a site that's supposed to be a shrine, why is there a giant arm covering all the text? How irritating to have to scroll to read such a small portion of text. The only thing I like is the image itself... that's IT! ._. This layout was aligned in the bottom-left, stretching all the way across.

version #: Three — Oct '01-Nov '01
time spent: Possibly 2 hours (??)
image source: The Hinatasou gang from Love Hina
comments: While this layout is very simple, I still adore it. ^^ Probably because the image is just so cute? Hehehe... but back then, I didn't know what the dropper tool was, so I guessed when it came to the correct color to use, which is why the pink doesn't match 100%. That's really my only gripe. :) First table layout for Aishiteru, aligned to the right.

version #: Two — Sept '01-Oct '01
time spent: Possibly 2 hours (??)
image source: Naru, Keitaro, Kaolla, and Sara from Love Hina
comments: I'm glad this layout wasn't up for longer than a month, hahaha. I don't think it was much of an improvement from the first version because of the poor choice of design elements. This layout could've been successful, if it had been done correctly, but sadly enough, it wasn't. :P The only thing I like is the image, haha. Layout aligned in the bottom-left, extending across the screen.

version #: One — Apr '01-Sept '01
time spent: Possibly 3 hours (??)
image source: Naru and Shinobu from Love Hina
comments: First layout for Aishiteru, which I surprisingly still like to a degree. I focused much more on functionality (than I did on later versions), which was a good thing! I like the simple text behind her feet at the bottom, along with the black & white Naru on the colored (and blurred) background. It was decent for a beginner, which I was. Centered in the middle of the screen.
